Plain-language explainer

What is AI matchmaking?

AI matchmaking uses software models to filter and rank potential introductions from information members provide and signals generated while they use a service. At Find Your Person, AI assists with the interview, photo-preference modeling, reciprocal scoring, modeled conversations, rationales, and conversation suggestions. It cannot know a complete person or guarantee attraction, compatibility, safety, or relationship success.

What information contributes to a recommendation?

The baseline score combines six components rather than trusting one opaque output.

  • Modeled-conversation evaluation: 28%
  • Photo-preference fit: 24%
  • Reciprocal age, gender, and distance fit: 18%
  • Interview-derived personality alignment: 15%
  • Activity and follow-through signals: 8%
  • Confidence in the available evidence: 7%

What is the modeled conversation?

The system generates a multi-phase exchange between profile representations and evaluates signals such as conversational fit and estimated second-date likelihood. It is one input to ranking. It is not a recording, a conversation the members actually had, or a rehearsal of the future.

Why use AI here at all?

The practical use is prioritization. Software can consistently compare reciprocal constraints and several kinds of evidence across a candidate pool. That can reduce clearly incompatible options and give members more context before deciding. Whether two people connect remains a human outcome.

What should a responsible AI matchmaker disclose?

It should explain the information it uses, the role of automation, meaningful limits, privacy practices, and the member’s control over the result. It should avoid presenting a probability as certainty or claiming it can predict a relationship.

Direct answers

Is an AI matchmaker the same as an AI girlfriend or boyfriend?
No. An AI matchmaker recommends real members to one another. Find Your Person does not position the model as the person you date.
Can AI predict whether a relationship will work?
No. It can rank evidence available to the system, but it cannot observe a future relationship or reproduce real-world attraction and behavior.
Can I reject an AI recommendation?
Yes. A recommendation is optional. Members can pass, and the product retains member controls for blocking and reporting.

Try a more transparent kind of recommendation.
